SUMMARY Paragon Professional Services is currently seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant in El Paso, TX. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. General office duties involve administrative, logistical and organizational duties. Updating real-time data for the operations center Conducting administrative related duties associated with Disturbance Control Teams. Able to respond to emergency situations and provide direct administrative and operational support for Disturbance Control Teams. Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance, such as utilization of fire extinguisher and basic first aid / AED. Organizing, accounting, ordering and issuance of staff uniforms Assisting departments with administrative duties, such as filing and record keeping. Must be able to compose comprehensive reports in APA format. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Programs, such as excel, word, power point and outlook. Must be able to work with little supervision and direction to accomplish various administrative projects. Must be able to obtain Public Notary certification. Must be able to process security clearances through federal background processes. Must be able to participate and pass a multitude of different types training provided by the company. Must understand ICE Performance Based National Detention Standard (PBNDS) 2011 rev. 16 components. Must have an understanding of detention and correctional operations. Will work under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager primarily, and Project Manager secondarily. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s) Preferred • Must have a bachelor’s degree in any field. • Must be able to pass and maintain a federal security clearance (High Risk) prior to employment. • Must have a minimum of 3 years of detention, correctional or military service experience. NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a office setting. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • General supervisory duties conducted during emergency situations. • Supervisory duties when distributing uniforms and equipment to staff. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
