WORK SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY

The recruiter represents SNU to its constituents (i.e., students, parents, guidance counselors, youth workers, pastors, schools, churches, etc.). Through personal on and off-campus contacts, the representative will generate leads, follow up on leads, present current information, and establish a solid rapport with prospective students. Role includes some travel (limited overnight stays). Performance is based on the completion of assignments and results obtained.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

• Articulate the SNU admission process to prospective students and parents, including financial aid opportunities, academic programs, and campus activities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of campus activities, academic programs, and participate in campus events when possible
• Ability and willingness to travel within the South-Central region (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana)
• Help to enroll a high-quality student body
• Connect with influencers internally and externally
• Submit reports to the Vice President for Enrollment & Marketing as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. • An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity.
• College undergraduate degree
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in higher education
• Fluent in Spanish

Supervision Received:

Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.

Supervision Exercised:

May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
