Our team is small, values-driven, and collaborative and were looking for someone who shares our dedication to meaningful work, clear communication, and operational excellence.Were currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team. This critical role supports the financial health of our practice through the efficient management of insurance credentialing, client billing processes, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Ensure accurate and up-to-date client insurance information in our EHRComplete benefit verifications and provide clear out-of-pocket estimates to clientsManage client billing processes, including recording payments, addressing unpaid invoices, and developing payment plansMonitor and reconcile aging reports and process refunds in alignment with organizational policiesReview claims for coding accuracy, including diagnostic/procedural codes, modifiers, and place of service codesSupport managed billing services with timely and accurate claim submissions and payment follow-upsInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with managed billing servicesOversee insurance credentialing, contracting, and fee schedule negotiationsServe as the primary contact between the practice and insurance representativesResearch and analyze reimbursement trends to support financial and operational goalsCollaborate with leadership to maintain transparency, identify priorities, and address billing challengesContribute to ongoing system improvements and updates to policies and proceduresSkills and Qualifications:Required:Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing or certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CPC, CCS)Familiarity with behavioral health billing processes and insurance revenue cyclesHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred:Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related fieldTechnical Skills:Proficiency with billing and EHR/practice management software (e.g., SimplePractice)Strong knowledge of insurance billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and modifiersHigh attention to detail in coding, benefit checks, and payment trackingExcellent organizational and prioritization skillsInterpersonal Skills:Friendly, professional, and calm able to build rapport with clients, staff, and insurance repsSelf-directed and resourceful willing to ask questions, problem-solve, and seek clarityOpen to feedback and committed to personal and professional growthComfortable working in a small team with shared accountability and frequent communicationWhy join us at RPC?Join a team that genuinely values collaboration, transparency, and personal connectionContribute to a practice that takes a different approach to mental health rooted in ethics, integrity, and a commitment to client careParticipate in a culture of learning, growth, and respectHelp us build and maintain sustainable systems that allow both our clients and our team to thrive
