This part-time night shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon involves providing direct care to medically fragile pediatric and adult residents in a long-term care setting. The role requires assisting nursing staff with daily living activities, ventilator and tracheostomy care, and working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team. Description

CNA – Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. This posting represents a part time night shift position. Hours are 7pm-7:30am (2, 12 hour shifts), with rotating weekends and holidays.

Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. Each CNA cares for approximately 7 residents on day shift, and 11 on nights. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Some of our residents require long-term ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some assistance with activities of daily living. Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a nurturing environment.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision and direction of an RN, utilizing the care plan. The CNA assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.
