The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, skills, education, and experience. Employees are also eligible for performance-based incentives. Salary Range $106,300.00 - $175,400.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Travelers' Data Engineering team constructs pipelines that provide easy access to data enterprise-wide. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming our analytics landscape, designing, building, and deploying data solutions supporting AI, Machine Learning, and business insights. What Will You Do? Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions. Design data solutions. Analyze sources to determine value and recommend data for analytical processes. Incorporate data governance, security, and quality principles. Collaborate with teams and educate end users on data products. Perform data and system analysis, assessment, and resolution for moderate issues. Test data movement, transformation code, and components. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or related field. Six years of related experience. Experience with BI data ecosystems, AWS, Databricks, Python, PySpark, Java, relational databases, Snowflake, and data pipelines. Design, build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Leverage Generative AI for engineering tasks. Proficiency with cloud platforms, programming languages, and software engineering practices. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. What is a Must Have?
