Job Description

Description Today, United has over 28,000 active flight attendants. We are the largest airline in the world with the most expansive network and we are growing. You will be fully trained by United and no special schooling or college degree is required for this job. Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry. You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. You will learn United’s safety and service standards. During training you will be assigned a base in one of our hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, or another base location (relocation funds are not provided). After successful training and base orientation, you will be welcomed as a full-time United employee. During training, United provides a stipend of $140 per week, along with dual occupancy hotel accommodations, breakfast, and either lunch or dinner depending on your training schedule. Travel Privileges: Fly around the world on United and enjoy travel for you and your loved ones. Starting hourly flight pay: $28.88/hour with a top of base scale at $67.11/hour. Seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. Inflight Crew member proficiencies: Safety First: Ensure the highest levels of safety. A “People-First” demeanor: Adapt to different customer-facing scenarios with optimism and positivity. Engage with customers through exceptional interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to resolve issues with understanding and compassion. Represent United with pride and distinction. Flexibility: With the most extensive route network, United flight attendants are available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. Reserve assignments on short notice and long periods away from base may be required. Team Player: Able to work independently and as part of a team. Onboarding and Training: You will undergo onboarding and training as described above. Training includes evacuation drills, pre-employment checks, and DOT/FAA compliance requirements. Some checks include background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening. A safety-sensitive role requires meeting medical and vision/hearing standards.
