Role Overview
As a Pet Retail Store Leader at PetSmart, you are responsible for the overall safety of pets and people, enhancing the pet parent experience, achieving operational excellence, driving financial performance, and overseeing all HR functions in the store. You will lead by example, fostering the company's culture and strategies while delivering outstanding service and executing daily operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Oversee hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance reviews. Foster an open-door culture, actively listen to team feedback, and ensure employee engagement.
• Store Experience: Enhance the pet parent experience through exceptional service, maintain store standards, and handle escalated concerns promptly. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for pets.
• Business Management: Drive profitability by meeting strategic objectives, analyzing performance data, controlling expenses, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in retail leadership or a customer-centric role.
• Must be available full-time, flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong computer skills and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Demands
As a store leader, you may be required to stand, walk, climb, and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with assistance when needed. Be prepared for a dynamic work environment that includes exposure to pets and various noise levels.
