Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
About the Role:
Were looking for a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual services to students across Colorado. In this role, youll work with K12 students to support access to the curriculum, build compensatory and functional skills, and help each student reach their IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments in a virtual setting.
Adapt materials and collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families.
Develop and monitor IEP goals, attend meetings, and maintain compliant documentation.
Teach braille, assistive technology, and other skills that promote independence and access.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
Active Colorado teaching certification as a TVI.
Experience providing services to students with visual impairments (virtual experience preferred).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
