Description:

We are seeking a Host/Hostess - Full Time and/or Part Time to become an integral part of our team! You will assist in making reservations for our dining rooms and clearly communicating what is happening around the Club.

The ideal candidates needs to be a great communicator, thorough in their work, professional, and organized.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and their guests in a warm, welcoming, professional manner.
  • Receive incoming calls from members who are looking to make reservations; remain calm, professional, and organized throughout the process.
  • Log reservations in all areas, including Online Reservation System, Room Reservation List, Floorplan, and Reservation Cards.
  • Take reservations for Card Players and communicate to the Card Player Server
  • Maintain knowledge of Daily and Upcoming Events, Construction, Room Closures, Specials, Dining Room Times, Managers & Phone Extensions.
  • Communicate abnormal booking amounts to management so they can prepare accordingly.
  • Report any issues or complaints to manager on duty.
Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to work in a busy environment handling high volumes of inquiries.
  • Restaurant and Office settings.

  • Able to pay attention to details
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evening shifts and/or overtime if needed.

  • Perform other duties as requested or required.
  • Demonstrable customer-service skills

  • Hearing and talking sufficient enough to communicate with members, guests, and co-workers.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, vision sufficient enough to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 20lbs.
  • Independent mobility throughout the Clubhouse.

Houston Country Club offers an excellent benefits package. After 60 days, full time employees are eligible for:
