About the Role
Were looking for our first Chief Karma Officer (Reddit Community Manager Contract) to work closely with the VP of Marketing and the broader marketing team to expand Rhos presence on Reddit. Youll dive into the most relevant founder, finance, and startup communities, contribute authentically to conversations, and position Rho as a trusted voice for founders and finance leads. This isnt about spamming threads with promotionsits about being helpful, credible, and plugged into the culture so were top of mind when founders think banking, cards, and finance tools.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in targeted subreddits (e.g., r/startups, r/entrepreneur, r/vc, r/finance) with high-context, founder-first responses that solve real problems and build credibility for Rho.

• Manage and post from Rhos official Reddit account with a helpful, trusted, and human tone that reflects our brand voice.

• Surface relevant threads, questions, and debates to the marketing team to inform timely responses, content creation, and thought leadership opportunities.

• Identify emerging topics and trends where Rho can contribute unique expertise founders cant get elsewhereespecially in banking, finance, and scaling startups.

• Shape and evolve our Reddit engagement strategy, prioritizing high-signal participation that builds long-term trust over short-term reach.

• Turn product moments, founder insights, and ecosystem news into subreddit-native posts and comments that naturally drive discussion and curiosity.

• Track key metrics (karma, engagement rate, inbound traffic, referral conversions) and share learnings to improve both community presence and funnel performance.

• Collaborate with other marketing functions to bring customer stories, expert advice, and Rho wins into community conversations in a value-first way.

• Partner with the Growth Lead to translate high-quality Reddit interactions into qualified top-of-funnel activity, aligning with broader demand-generation campaigns.

• Collaborate with the SEO Manager to identify high-intent Reddit discussions and questions that can inform keyword targeting, blog content, and FAQ materialfeeding Rhos long-term search and LLM visibility strategy.

• Capture and share founder FAQs, recurring pain points, and conversation trends from Reddit to help Rho show up in AI-powered search results and conversational responses.

Qualifications

• Youve grown or managed a Reddit account with meaningful influence through smart, consistent, and on-brand participation.

• You know Reddit culture inside out, from subreddit-specific rules to unspoken etiquette.

• You have startup, founder, or VC experience and can speak the language of founders credibly.

• You write with precision, personality, and clarityadapting tone based on the audience.

• You can spot opportunities to join conversations without sounding self-promotional.

• You understand community-driven marketing and how to turn conversations into relationships.

• Bonus: Youve managed a B2B SaaS or fintech brand account on Reddit and made it genuinely useful to its audience.
