• Location: Falmouth, MA 02540 (Cape Cod – Massachusetts healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility: Hospital-based Cancer Center\n
• Position: Mammography Technologist / Radiologic Technologist\n
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract\n
• Start Date: February 9, 2026\n
• End Date: May 9, 2026\n
• Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Schedule: 40 hours/week (4x10 hour shifts, 8am-6pm; occasional Saturday 7:30am-3:30pm; no holidays)\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2380-$2550\n

\n\nMammography Technologist Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist\n
• Graduate of a JCERT Accredited Radiography Program\n
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)\n
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)\n
• Active Massachusetts State license for Radiology and Mammography (Massachusetts healthcare license)\n
• Experience with 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and 2D Digital Mammography\n
• Proficiency in bone density (DEXA) exams preferred\n
• Completion of required didactic/clinical training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and Digital Mammography\n
• Strong communication skills in English\n

\n\nRadiologic Technologist Responsibilities\n

\n
• Perform mammographic exams and procedures to detect breast abnormalities and breast cancer, ensuring patient safety and comfort\n
• Conduct bone density (DEXA) examinations as needed\n
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring MQSA compliance and accurate documentation\n
• Review requisitions and previous reports/images, consult with radiologists, and ensure accurate billing\n
• Educate patients on exam procedures and result processes\n
• Complete and clarify patient history forms, referring to nurse practitioners as needed\n
• Safely operate mammographic equipment, adjusting controls and following radiation protection standards\n
• Evaluate images for technical quality and maintain accurate radiology records\n
• Perform and document required Quality Control tests and maintain inventory of supplies\n
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure timely repairs\n
• Maintain knowledge of protocols, scan procedures, data management, and radiation protection\n
• Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with ARRT and Massachusetts state licensing standards\n
• Uphold ethical relationships and patient confidentiality at all times\n
• Consistently provide service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues\n
• Perform other related duties as assigned\n
