Job Description

A client of Insight Globals is hiring a Mobile Engineer to work in the Knoxville, TN area (in addition to supporting a 2-hour radius from this base location), to support a client in the maintence, operation and repairs of refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain the most efficient operating results and longevity. In this role, the Mobile Engineer will be assuring that equipment is being maintained and down time is condensed to a minimum, when necessary, repairs are made while keeping records up to date of past operating experiences. Additional responsibilities include:
- Responding to work orders for all systems and updating them in real time
- Maintaining and operating all refrigeration, HVAC systems and equipment associated with electrical distribution, plumbing, building interior/exterior and production equipment
- Performing facility inspections
- Completing Hazard Assessments
- Maintaining compliance to state, county or city ordinances, codes, or laws
- Completing all required safety trainings on schedule

- Universal EPA Certification
- 2 years trade school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
- 4 years technical background in building engineering (focusing on HVAC)
o Ability to diagnose and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerators
o Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair & maintence
- Type II EPA Certification OR Universal EPA 608 Certification
- Valid Drivers License
